Minister of Social Solidarity Visits “Misr El Kheir” communal iftar table at the “Ahl Misr Walkway.”

Dr. Maya Morsy, Minister of Social Solidarity, inspected the communal iftar table organized by Misr El Kheir Foundation, a member of the National Alliance for Civil Development Work. The iftar serves 1,500 fasting individuals from beneficiaries of partner associations and children with disabilities at the “Ahl Misr Walkway, ” as part of the activities of the holy month of Ramadan.

Upon her arrival, the Minister of Social Solidarity was received by Ayman Abdel Mawgoud, Permanent Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Solidarity; Dr. Mohamed Refai, CEO of Misr El Kheir Foundation; Engineer Amal Mobadda , Executive Director of the Resource Development Sector at Misr El Kheir; Dr. Hanan El-Darbashi, Head of the Social Solidarity Sector at Misr El Kheir; along with several leaders of the foundation and representatives of partner associations and institutions.

Dr. Maya Morsy was keen to review all preparations for the iftar table and examine the meals being provided to those fasting People , She also met with a number of people attending the iftar.

The Minister of Social Solidarity praised the efforts of Misr El Kheir Foundation and civil society during the holy month of Ramadan, which come within the framework of the presidential initiative “Abwab El Kheir”, implemented by the ministry in cooperation with “ Tahya Misr Fund.”

Dr. Maya Morsy explained that the state—represented by the Ministry of Social Solidarity—in partnership with the Fund for Supporting Projects of Civil Associations and Institutions, Ministry of Endowments , Tahya Misr Fund , the National Alliance for Civil Development Work, Egyptian Red Crescent, and civil associations and institutions, seeks to provide nearly 70 million hot meals and distribute more than 5.5 million food boxes during the holy month of Ramadan through several initiatives.
