Jawhar Nabil, Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports, joined fasting individuals for iftar at the Ramadan tent organized by the ministry in the Abbassia area of Al-Wayli district in Cairo. The tent is held in cooperation with Misr El Kheir Foundation as part of the “Iftar Saem” campaign. He was accompanied by Dr. Mohamed Refai, the Foundation’s CEO, in a Ramadan atmosphere filled with the joy of the holy month.

The minister praised the ongoing cooperation with Misr El Kheir Foundation, describing it as a successful model of community partnership—especially with a leading charitable organization considered one of the largest civil society institutions in Egypt.

He also affirmed the Ministry of Youth and Sports’ commitment to expanding partnerships with civil society organizations, commending the foundation’s developmental role across various governorates and the programs and initiatives it provides to support Egyptian society and back the state’s efforts toward achieving comprehensive development.

For his part, Dr. Mohamed Refai explained that the Ramadan tents implemented by the foundation in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports represent one of the key components of the “Iftar Saem” campaign, which the foundation has launched for the fourteenth consecutive year to reach eligible beneficiaries throughout the holy month.

He added that the “Iftar Saem” campaign is one of the largest organized Ramadan charitable initiatives in Egypt, targeting millions of fasting individuals across different governorates, especially in the most underprivileged areas
