Misr El Kheir Continues Providing Hot Meals as Part of the “Iftar Sa’em ” Campaign in the Gaza Strip
16 March 2026In an atmosphere of joy and celebration, Misr El Kheir Foundation, a member of the National Alliance for Civil Development Work, continues to provide daily hot meals from Egypt to our people in Gaza through the foundation’s kitchens. This is being carried out in cooperation with the Egyptian Committee in Gaza and the National Alliance for Civil Development Work, under the supervision of the Ministry of Social Solidarity.
Misr El Kheir Foundation has been keen to share the joy of the holy month of Ramadan with the people and children of the Gaza Strip by providing hot iftar meals that are prepared daily in the foundation’s kitchens.
Dr. Mohamed Refai, CEO of Misr El Kheir Foundation, affirmed that supporting the people of Gaza is part of the foundation’s strategy for humanitarian and relief work during times of crisis. This comes within the framework of the humanitarian role played by the Egyptian state in supporting the Palestinian people. Misr El Kheir Foundation, a member of the National Alliance for Civil Development Work, is participating in a large campaign to provide iftar meals for 1.5 million fasting individuals inside the Gaza Strip during the holy month of Ramadan, in cooperation with the Egyptian Committee for Gaza Relief.
Mohamed Rageh, Director of the Relief Unit at Misr El Kheir Foundation, stated that the campaign includes providing daily hot iftar meals, in addition to food baskets and clean drinking water, in response to the growing needs inside the Gaza Strip amid difficult humanitarian conditions and shortages of essential supplies.
The campaign aims to provide iftar meals for about 300,000 fasting individuals by distributing 60,000 family meals, each sufficient for five people and containing rice, protein, and salad, ensuring balanced nutritional needs for families.
Mohamed Rageh added that the interventions also included deploying 16 water trucks serving 14,000 beneficiaries daily, bringing the total number of beneficiaries of the water project to about 420,000 people during the month of Ramadan, in addition to food baskets that are being delivered throughout the holy month.
