Misr El Kheir Distributes Eid Clothing Cards for Children Across Various Governorates
29 March 2026As part of its ongoing efforts to bring joy and happiness to the most vulnerable families during the days of Eid al-Fitr, Misr El Kheir Foundation—member of the National Alliance for Civil Development Work—announced the launch of an initiative to provide purchase cards for children’s Eid clothing. The initiative targets 15,500 families across several governorates, as part of its “Iftar Sa’em” campaign for the fourteenth consecutive year.
Dr. Hanan El-Derbashi, Head of the Social Solidarity Sector at Misr El Kheir Foundation, stated: “The Eid initiative includes granting each family a purchase card worth 500 EGP to buy Eid clothing for children from newborns up to 18 years old. Each eligible family receives one card, allowing them to choose what suits their children, thus preserving their dignity and giving them freedom of choice.”
She added: “The initiative is being implemented in cooperation with 61 branches of Arafa Stores and El Nasr Sporting Stores across several governorates, including Cairo, Giza, Qalyubia, Alexandria, Mansoura, Sharqia, Fayoum, Minya, Assiut, and Aswan, to facilitate access for beneficiary families.”
She confirmed that this initiative is part of Misr El Kheir’s broader efforts to support vulnerable families during various occasions and its commitment to sharing the joy of Eid with children, helping to bring happiness to their hearts and reinforce values of social solidarity.
She further explained that this year’s “Iftar Sa’em” campaign included multiple forms of support distributed to beneficiaries based on database criteria. These include the “kartonet el kheir ,” “kartonet el satr ,” “lamet el aila ,” and “kart el khier ,” in addition to hot food meals, the “lamet el aila ,” Ramadan Iftar tents for a full month, Iftar and Suhoor tents for a full month, Iftar and Suhoor meals inside tents, traveler Iftar, village Iftar, “kheirak zad Vehicle,” Zakat al-Fitr, and Eid clothing cards.
She emphasized that Misr El Kheir pays close attention to every detail within the “Iftar Sa’em” campaign through genuine partnerships with affiliated organizations, aiming to bring joy and happiness to vulnerable families throughout the holy month of Ramadan and during Eid al-Fitr.
