Misr El Kheir Foundation: “Iftar Saem” – A National Model of Solidarity with the Support of Charity Partners

As part of the cooperation between the Agricultural Bank of Egypt and Misr El Kheir Foundation, both parties continue their pioneering humanitarian and developmental role in supporting the most vulnerable families and strengthening the umbrella of social solidarity across various governorates.

The Agricultural Bank of Egypt is participating in implementing the “Village Iftar” initiative as part of its Ramadan campaign “Sekket Kheir”, through which it aims to provide iftar meals to eligible families and the most vulnerable groups. This effort reinforces the values of social solidarity and spreads joy in villages and the communities most in need.

The bank’s participation in the “Iftar Saem” campaign stems from its social responsibility and national role in supporting the neediest groups. The bank is keen on maintaining an active presence within villages and rural communities, contributing to improving quality of life and strengthening the values of solidarity and mutual support among community members.

For his part, Dr. Mohamed Refai, CEO of Misr El Kheir Foundation, expressed his happiness with the Agricultural Bank of Egypt’s participation in the “Iftar Saem” campaign, emphasizing that the success of the foundation’s humanitarian campaigns is achieved through the support of success partners, including donors, civil society organizations, and volunteers.

He explained that the foundation’s mission is to develop the Egyptian individual wherever they may be, noting its commitment to expanding and developing the “Iftar Saem” campaign to reach the most vulnerable families across different governorates through diverse food solutions that consider the needs of various age groups.

Meanwhile, Dr. Hanan El-Darbashi, Head of the Social Solidarity Sector at Misr El Kheir Foundation, announced that 950,000 food boxes have reached beneficiaries nationwide, in addition to the launch of 80 food tents in beneficiary villages, where 1,000 meals are served daily in each tent.

She added that the “Iftar Saem” campaign is not limited to providing food assistance only, but also extends to strengthening social solidarity in cooperation with grassroots associations and through direct engagement via Misr El Kheir offices spread across more than 15 governorates.
