Misr El Kheir Foundation, a member of the National Alliance for Civil Development Work, celebrated outstanding models of women who not only built successful families but also presented real stories of struggle worthy of being told. The foundation organized an honoring ceremony for a number of women who won the “Changemakers” initiative, in recognition of their efforts in serving their families and communities.

The “Changemakers” ceremony was not merely a traditional tribute, but a moment of recognition for stories of patience and resilience, written by mothers who faced life with courage and succeeded in transforming hardship into success.

Dr. Mohamed Refai, CEO of Misr El Kheir Foundation, expressed his pride in these role models, stating that the initiative comes “from the heart to the heart.” He noted that what they encountered during the evaluation phase was not just files or applications, but deeply human stories reflecting genuine giving.

Refai emphasized that the foundation will not stop at honoring the winners, but will also work to meet the needs of the winning families, supporting their journey and strengthening their impactful role in society. He added during his speech at the awards ceremony: “We are with you and hope to provide support and assistance at any time. Misr El Kheir is proud of you and of your children’s success at all educational stages. You will always find us by your side to meet the needs of every family.”

He continued: “Every story we reviewed was a lesson in patience and strength, and made us realize the value of what these mothers provide to their families without expecting anything in return.”

From within the ceremony, emotions ran high, as organizers confirmed that the selection process was conducted according to precise criteria and full transparency, ensuring that recognition reached those who truly deserved it.

Dr. Ahmed Ali explained that the winners represent an honorable image of Egyptian women, especially as many of them endured difficult experiences but managed to overcome them and build better futures for their children. He added that the winners, coming from different governorates, are exemplary models of ideal mothers, noting that all applicants experienced long struggles but overcame challenges and hardships with courage.

In a related context, Dr. Mohamed Mamdouh revealed that the initiative is not limited to recognition alone, but also aims to document real-life success stories and promote a culture of giving and sustainability through models that started as beneficiaries and have now become sources of inspiration for others.

He added that participants were selected based on clear criteria to ensure authentic examples reflecting resilience and responsibility—whether mothers of high-achieving children or mothers of children with disabilities who successfully supported them and achieved accomplishments together.

Among the most touching moments were the words of one of the winning mothers, who expressed deep gratitude to Misr El Kheir, confirming that this recognition is not just an award, but an appreciation of a long journey of challenges. She said that what the foundation provides goes beyond material support to building and empowering individuals, especially in education, which has opened doors of hope for thousands of young people.

She concluded with heartfelt words: “This honor is a medal on my chest… but in fact, it is a tribute to every mother who chose to persevere and continue the journey.”
