As part of the humanitarian role undertaken by the Egyptian state to support the Palestinian people, Misr El Kheir Foundation, a member of the National Alliance for Civil Development Work, announced the launch of a large-scale campaign to provide iftar meals for 1.5 million fasting individuals inside Gaza Strip during the holy month of Ramadan, in cooperation with the Egyptian Committee for Gaza Relief.

The campaign includes providing daily hot iftar meals, in addition to food baskets and clean drinking water, in response to the growing needs inside the Strip amid difficult humanitarian conditions and shortages of essential supplies.

The foundation confirmed that the distribution of aid will begin from the Netzarim corridor and the camps in the central area of the Gaza Strip, in full coordination with the Egyptian committee, to ensure the smooth entry of assistance and to organize the distribution process in a way that guarantees fairness and prevents duplication.

The campaign aims to provide iftar meals for approximately 300,000 fasting individuals by preparing 60,000 family meals, each sufficient for five people and containing rice, protein, and salad, ensuring comprehensive nutritional support for families.

The initiative also includes deploying 20 water trucks daily, serving 17,000 beneficiaries per day. The total number of beneficiaries from the water project is expected to reach approximately 510,000 throughout Ramadan, in addition to the food baskets that will be delivered during the holy month.

The foundation emphasized that this campaign comes in response to the escalating humanitarian challenges inside the Gaza Strip, especially with the arrival of Ramadan and the increasing living burdens on families.
