Misr El Kheir: We aim to reach the largest number of beneficiaries through diverse offerings

Continuing the cooperation between the two parties in the “Iftar Sa’em” campaign—implemented by Misr El Kheir Foundation, a member of the National Alliance for Civil Development Work—for the fourteenth consecutive year, Valley Water Company is contributing to this year’s campaign by providing 160,000 bottles of water to Ramadan tents organized by the foundation, in addition to 580,000 “Sparx “beverages to serve 77 Ramadan tents. This makes the company the official sponsor of water and beverages for the Ramadan tents.

Engineer Amal Mobadda, Executive Director of Resource Development, Marketing, and Public Relations at Misr El Kheir Foundation, stated that the “Iftar Sa’em” campaign, launched for the fourteenth consecutive year, aims to reach the largest number of eligible beneficiaries across all governorates of Egypt.

She added that the success of Misr El Kheir is driven by the support of partners, the government, donors, and partner civil society organizations. This year, the foundation aims to reach even more fasting individuals through a variety of programs and offerings included in the campaign.

She pointed out that the “Iftar Sa’em” campaign is one of the largest ongoing initiatives of Misr El Kheir, targeting millions of fasting individuals across Egypt, especially in the most vulnerable governorates and areas.

Engineer Amal Mobadda explained that the campaign includes several types of support distributed to beneficiaries according to database criteria. It also allows donors to receive and distribute aid themselves. These offerings include: “Kartonet El Kheir”, “Kartonet El Setr” “Sanad El Aila”, “Karet El Kheir”, in addition to food meals, the “Family Gathering Meal,” Ramadan Iftar tents for a full month, Iftar and Suhoor tents for a full month, Iftar and Suhoor meals inside tents, traveler Iftar, village Iftar,” Zakat al-Fitr, and Eid clothing cards.

She also added that implementing the “Iftar Sa’em” campaign for fourteen consecutive years has built strong operational experience, ensuring its success and enabling it to achieve its charitable and developmental goals in a way that promotes social stability for Egyptian families during the holy month, in cooperation with success partners.

For his part, Dr. Ahmed Alaiwa, CEO of Valley Water—the owner of the “Elano Water” brand—said that the partnership with Misr El Kheir comes within the framework of Elano Water’s corporate social responsibility, noting that the company is keen to collaborate with highly credible institutions.

He explained that Misr El Kheir’s widespread presence in charitable work across various governorates helps achieve Valley Water’s goals of reaching eligible and most vulnerable groups through its products, Elano Water and Sparx beverages.

Maha Abu Saa, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility, Corporate Communications, and Sustainability at Valley Water, stated that the company’s participation in this year’s “Iftar Sa’em” campaign reflects its strong commitment to supporting initiatives with wide social impact. She noted that providing 160,000 bottles of Elano Water and approximately 580,000 Sparx beverages across 77 Ramadan tents highlights the company’s dedication to being present during moments of solidarity that bring Egyptians together during the holy month.

She added that Valley Water’s CSR sector operates under a clear strategy based on sustainability and active partnerships with trusted civil society organizations. Cooperation with Misr El Kheir enhances the efficiency of reaching beneficiaries across different governorates and ensures that support is delivered in an organized manner with tangible real-world impact.

She concluded that the company views this participation as a long-term social investment aimed at supporting social stability and promoting a culture of institutional giving, noting that Valley Water continuously seeks to expand its development initiatives in line with community needs, reflecting the humanitarian role of its brands “Elano Water” and “Sparx” alongside their market presence.
