Roundtable toward Inclusive Policies for People with Disabilities
17 February 2026Misr El Kheir Foundation organized a roundtable on Monday to discuss issues related to persons with disabilities, aiming to prepare a policy paper on disability in cooperation with experts and specialists. The discussion focused on empowering persons with disabilities and ensuring their rights in Egyptian society, with participation from various institutions concerned with disability affairs.
The session addressed advocacy issues by reviewing the current situation of persons with disabilities, gaps in services and rights, challenges hindering access to essential services, and the role of partner entities in improving accessibility and service quality. It also discussed the role of persons with disabilities in community development and the responsibilities of different stakeholders in empowering them.
The Foundation’s CEO stated that over the next three years, the Foundation’s vision is to place disability issues at the top of its strategy to fulfill the aspirations of persons with disabilities and empower them in Egyptian society. He added: “A dream begins with an idea and ends with a step, but disability issues are a dream that never ends and must continue to be supported and developed by all institutions.
