Galala University and Misr El Kheir Sign Memorandum of Understanding

Galala University and Misr El Kheir Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance cooperation in training, scientific research, community development, scholarships, innovation, entrepreneurship, and support for national industries.

The agreement aims to support sustainable development and strengthen collaboration between academia, civil society, and state institutions.

Celebrating Students’ Success in Obtaining the British City & Guilds Certificate in Hospitalityc

In cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education and Americana Restaurants Egypt, Misr El Kheir Foundation celebrated the success of students from Captain Ahmed Ta’lab Applied Technology Hospitality School in earning the internationally accredited City & Guilds certificate in hospitality, achieving the highest success rate since the program’s launch in 2021.

Dr. Saber Hassan, Head of the Education Sector at the Foundation, stated that the initiative reflects the Foundation’s vision of making technical education a means of youth empowerment and sustainable development. The program integrates practical training with academic study in partnership with major institutions such as Americana Restaurants.

Misr El Kheir Discusses Using Arts and Culture to Raise Climate Awareness

Participants in a seminar titled “Employing Art and Culture as Tools of Influence within NGOs to Enhance Climate Action,” organized by Misr El Kheir Foundation—a member of the National Alliance for Civil Development Work—discussed ways to modernize NGO mechanisms to spread environmental messages and promote positive behavioral change. The seminar was held as part of the Fayoum International Film Festival.

Dr. Mohamed Mamdouh, Head of NGO Development at the Foundation, highlighted the flexibility and vital role NGOs play in addressing environmental issues and influencing societal and climate awareness. He noted that Egypt has 38,000 NGOs and associations, which, if equipped to address environmental challenges and harmful behaviors, could significantly promote awareness and reduce environmental and health risks.

Roundtable toward Inclusive Policies for People with Disabilities

Misr El Kheir Foundation organized a roundtable on Monday to discuss issues related to persons with disabilities, aiming to prepare a policy paper on disability in cooperation with experts and specialists. The discussion focused on empowering persons with disabilities and ensuring their rights in Egyptian society, with participation from various institutions concerned with disability affairs.

The session addressed advocacy issues by reviewing the current situation of persons with disabilities, gaps in services and rights, challenges hindering access to essential services, and the role of partner entities in improving accessibility and service quality. It also discussed the role of persons with disabilities in community development and the responsibilities of different stakeholders in empowering them.

The Foundation’s CEO stated that over the next three years, the Foundation’s vision is to place disability issues at the top of its strategy to fulfill the aspirations of persons with disabilities and empower them in Egyptian society. He added: “A dream begins with an idea and ends with a step, but disability issues are a dream that never ends and must continue to be supported and developed by all institutions.

As part of the “Cairo Nights” program of the 46th Cairo International Film Festival, a special seminar titled “How Their Voices Are Told on Screen” was held, focusing on the issue of indebted women. Misr El Kheir Foundation, a member of the National Alliance for Civil Development Work, participated by screening the documentary “Fatma”, directed by Mohannad Diab and produced in collaboration with the foundation. The film tells a true story and features special appearances by the real-life protagonists.
 

Qatar Charity Joins Misr El Kheir in Packing Food Parcels for Gaza Families

Qatar Charity conducted a visit today to the packing warehouses of Misr El Kheir Foundation in Cairo to participate in preparing food parcels designated for families in the Gaza Strip. The initiative comes as part of the urgent relief efforts jointly implemented by both organizations, within the framework of their humanitarian cooperation to support the people of Gaza.

Collaboration Between Misr El-Kheir Foundation and Saleh Abdullah Kamel Humanitarian Foundation

The Saleh Abdullah Kamel Humanitarian Foundation collaborated with Misr El-Kheir Foundation in the "Iftar Saem" campaign during the holy month of Ramadan, aiming to reach as many beneficiaries as possible. This partnership included setting up a Ramadan tent for Iftar and Suhoor in Gharbia Governorate, as well as distributing food boxes and Iftar meals.

Misr El Kheir Foundation continues its efforts during the blessed month of Ramadan by implementing Iftar and Suhoor projects that alleviate the economic burdens on deserving families and reinforce the values of social solidarity. In this context, our partnership this year with Qatar Red Crescent aims to set up a Ramadan tent that provides Iftar and Suhoor meals to fasting individuals, reflecting the strength of collaboration between humanitarian organizations to serve the community.
