She added that the “Iftar Saem” campaign is not limited to providing food assistance only, but also extends to strengthening social solidarity in cooperation with grassroots associations and through direct engagement via Misr El Kheir offices spread across more than 15 governorates.

Jawhar Nabil, Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports, joined fasting individuals for iftar at the Ramadan tent organized by the ministry in the Abbassia area of Al-Wayli district in Cairo. The Ministry of Endowments, in cooperation with Misr El Kheir Foundation, distributed 100,000 food boxes to the most vulnerable families across all governorates of the Republic on February 16th and 17th , as part of preparations for the holy month of Ramadan and in support of social protection efforts for the most in-need groups. Distribution is being carried out according to the approved beneficiary data registered in the database of the Ministry of Social Solidarity.
In a statement, the ministry explained that the distribution process is being implemented under a well-organized plan covering various centers, villages, and hamlets, ensuring swift completion, close monitoring, and the delivery of support to its rightful recipients before the start of the holy month.
This comes within the framework of ongoing coordination between the ministry and its partners from both the governmental and civil sectors to intensify community support efforts during Ramadan, helping to ease living burdens on the most vulnerable families and reinforce the values of solidarity and compassion throughout the country.

As part of the humanitarian role undertaken by the Egyptian state to support the Palestinian people, Misr El Kheir Foundation, a member of the National Alliance for Civil Development Work, announced the launch of a large-scale campaign to provide iftar meals for 1.5 million fasting individuals inside Gaza Strip during the holy month of Ramadan, in cooperation with the Egyptian Committee for Gaza Relief.
The campaign includes providing daily hot iftar meals, in addition to food baskets and clean drinking water, in response to the growing needs inside the Strip amid difficult humanitarian conditions and shortages of essential supplies.
The foundation confirmed that the distribution of aid will begin from the Netzarim corridor and the camps in the central area of the Gaza Strip, in full coordination with the Egyptian committee, to ensure the smooth entry of assistance and to organize the distribution process in a way that guarantees fairness and prevents duplication.
The campaign aims to provide iftar meals for approximately 300,000 fasting individuals by preparing 60,000 family meals, each sufficient for five people and containing rice, protein, and salad, ensuring comprehensive nutritional support for families.
The initiative also includes deploying 20 water trucks daily, serving 17,000 beneficiaries per day. The total number of beneficiaries from the water project is expected to reach approximately 510,000 throughout Ramadan, in addition to the food baskets that will be delivered during the holy month.
The foundation emphasized that this campaign comes in response to the escalating humanitarian challenges inside the Gaza Strip, especially with the arrival of Ramadan and the increasing living burdens on families.

Among the key initiatives are “Kartonet El-Kheir”, “Kartonet El-Satr”, “Sanad El-Eila” and “Kart El-Kheir”, in addition to food meals, the “Family Gathering Meal,” Ramadan iftar tents for a full month, combined iftar and suhoor tents for a month, and iftar and suhoor meals within Ramadan tents—now totaling 77 tents—as well as “Traveler’s Iftar,” “Village Iftar,” the “Kheirak Zad” vehicle, Zakat al-Fitr, and Eid clothing cards.
